The Aqsa Mosque

Introduction: The factors behind the choice of this subject.

- There is a big and dangerous project which aims at judaizing The Sacred Qods and obliterating all the landmarks and the traces of Islam and the Muslims.

- It is the matter of the Muslim nation, and not only the     Palestinian one.  

- There is an urgent need to sustain the Palestinians: financially, intellectually and politically.

- The expansion of the Zionistic violations.

- The Westerners' support of the international Zionism and the Islamic nations' forsaking of the matter of Al Aqsa.

The value of Aqsa Mosque.

1- It is located in the Holy Land, Palestine (Jerusalem). It is the cradle of the Prophets' revelations and divin messages.

2- The first Kiblah for the Muslims (Kiblah is the direction to which the Muslims turn their faces in prayer).

3- The third Holy place. The prophet- may peace be upon him- said: « No journey is made except to three mosques: «My mosque, the Holy mosque of Mecca and Aqsa mosque ». [Reported by Muslim and the others].

4- The end of the Nocturnal Trip. The Almighty Allah Said: « Glory be to Allah the One, who did take His servant (Mohammed) on a night journey from the sacred Mosque to Al Aqsa Mosque the precincts of which We have blessed, that We might show him some of our signs, Indeed!  Allah is the All Hearing- the All Seeing. ». [Sûrat Al Isrâ /The Nocturnal Trip, 1].

5-The beginning of the Prophet Muhammad's ascension to the Seven Heavens then the lote tree where the Almighty Allah is.

6- Praying in Aqsa Mosque equals 500 prayers in other mosque.

II- The Construction of Aqsa Mosque.

 It was the second house of worship built on earth after the Holy Mosque.

The Almighty Allah Said: « Indeed! The first House built on the earth appointed for the people is the one at Baccah( Mecca), blessed and a guidance for the Worlds ». [Sûrat Âl 'Imrân,The Family of Imran, verse 96].

- It was reported that Abu Dhur Al Ghafaary  asked  the prophet -may peace be upon him- and said: "Ô Messenger of Allah which was the first Mosque built on the earth?" The prophet -may peace be upon him- said: The Holy Mosque of Mecca, then I said: which one? The prophet -may peace be upon him- said: Aqsa mosque. I said what is the interval between their buildings? The prophet - may peace be upon him- said: Forty years. [Reported by Al Bukhari, Ibnu Maajah and Ahmad].

III-The Conquest of Al Aqsa.

It was conquered in 15century of Hegira by the commander of the faithful, Omar Ibnu Al Khatab, may Allah be pleased with him .He entered the Aqsa Mosque from where the prophet Mohammad-may peace be upon him- entered during the Nocturnal trip and he prayed where the prophet-may peace be upon him- prayed.

IV- Its Occupation.

The crusaders occupied the Aqsa Mosque in 1099 A.D after a blockage which lasted about 40 days. The Muslims fought them, but they failed.

V- Its Liberation.

 Aqsa Mosque was liberated by the Muslim leader Salah Addin Al Ayouby in 27 Rajb of Hegira which corresponds to 1187A.D.He devoted all his life for this purpose. In fact, he never smiled because of crusade occupation of Palestine. He said: "By Allah! I am ashamed of Allah to laugh and Al Qods is under the Crusaders".

After his victory over the crusaders he purified the Aqsa Mosque by orange-flower water in order to remove the filth of the crusaders.

VI-The Second Occupation of Al Aqsa.

After the decline or of the Islamic Caliphate hostile plans appeared to destroy the moral and the material essences of the Islamic nation. The Mosque was occupied by the Zionists in 9^th of June; 1967 A.D. It was the first time in the history where the Friday prayer did not take place since its conquest.

In fact, the greediness of the Jewish increased and among their slogans" today I opened the rout towards Babylon and Yathreeb (Medina)"," Ô Israel your boundaries are  from Euphrates to Nile".

VII-Our duty towards Al Aqsa.

1- Understanding the honorable Aqsa matter by feeling a strong sense of responsibility towards it. It is indeed the Islamic nation's affair.

2- The Reviving the Jihad duty (fighting for the sake of Allah) as much as possible either with tongue, money, pen, or the Mass Media…

3- Boycotting the Israeli, the American, the British goods and the countries that support the Zionists' goods, because such action weakens their firms economically and financially and compels them to change   their attitudes towards this matter. This is in one hand, in the other hand educating the Muslims to be patient and steaking only to what is necessary.  

4- Invoking Allah to grant victory to the fighters in Palestine.
