Is it permissible to carry out the Friday prayer in a new mosque with the presence of an ancient one?
This question is asked by the religious committee of Rabah Bounar’s mosque of Draa Ben Khedda, Tizi-Ouzou. It asks about carrying out the Friday prayer in the mosque above mentioned with the presence of a large mosque which is overcrowded with people who come to pray in Friday. If we consider what is agreed on by the knowledgeable concerning the multiplicity of mosques, it is legally admissible to carry out the Friday prayer in Rabah Bounar’s mosque due to the narrowness of the big mosque and wideness of the town. |
