13) The Muslim Family before the challenges.
I-An outline of the contemporary world:
The Contemporary world is dominated by the powerful countries which represent 20% of the whole world. The latter is controlled through the following effective means: a) Commercial and financial organizations. Such as: - The International Monetary Fund (IMF) - The International Bank (IB) - Paris Club (PC) - World Trade Organization (WTO) and also the great powerful world companies.
b The Mass Media and the Cultural organizations: The powerful countries control these different organizations which are exploited to produce ideas and cultures that suit the western values, and they aim at erasing and eradicating the cultural specificities of nations. The mass media and the informatics revolutions- that the world witnesses nowadays- increase the monopoly of these organizations.
3- The international organizations: At the head of these organizations we cite: The United Nations Organization (UNO), the Security Council (SC), The World Health Organization (WHO), The United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). All these organizations are in the hands of the great countries which exploit them for their objectives and strategic interests.
II- The International Congresses and the Family’s affairs (issues): The United Nations Organization- lead by the powerful countries- endeavours to hold congresses that are concerned with both the family and women issues. These congresses aim at inculcating the new western values that are inspired from their materialistic philosophy, among them we mention: 1- The congresses of inhabitants and development. v Bucharest Congress in 1974. v Mexico Congress in1984. v Cairo Congress in 1994: It is considered as the most serious congress. It was attended by 160 countries and 1200 non governmental organizations. The conferees discussed two matters: - Sexual freedom: They claimed the legislation of this freedom and abolishing the laws that prohibit it. - Allowing the miscarriage of the undesirable babies. 2- Woman Congresses: These congresses debated the matters that are related to women who were considered as being effective means for the destruction of moral values and standards. For this reason, the powerful countries held many congresses, among them: v Mexico Congress 1975. Its slogan is "Woman: Equality, Development and Peace". v Copenhagen Congress 1980. v Nairobi (Kenya) 1985. v Peking Congress 1995, Many subjects were debated among them: - Woman and Health. - Woman and Human Rights. - Woman and Poverty. - Woman and environment. v New York congress 2000. These congresses had a great impact in realizing the Western world’s objectives, and disrupting the moral standards and values of the family.
III- The Muslim Family and the moral system: The decisions of these organizations have influenced deeply the family in the world in general, and the Muslim family in particular. Therefore the moral standard and values are greatly affected at different levels: 1- Marriage System: Marriage in Islam is a sacred tie; the Almighty Allah named it "firm covenant". But nowadays its consideration and value are weakened and then divorce occurs due to worthless reasons. 2- Maternity: According to the sociologists, the women intending to marry are careless of motherhood. Indeed, some women prefer to keep company with animals rather than with children. 3-Childhood: The situation of children is absolutely tragic; they are stolen and sold. In addition, the rate of illegitimate children increased.
IV- Protecting the Muslim Family: The Muslim family can face these challenges and overcome these obstacles by taking the following measures: 1- Understanding Islam: The Muslim must have confidence in his religion; he has to assimilate the solutions and the teachings of Islam and to be proud of it. The Almighty Allah Said: «...But all might belongs to Allah and His messenger, and the believers. ».[Al Munafiqoon/the Hypocrites, 8]. 2- Discerning the challenges: Being aware of the hindrances that face the family leads to their avoidance and the well protection of the family. 3- Presenting the alternatives: It is necessary to present a suitable and legitimate alternative in a practical way by establishing communicative, mental, cultural, social, curing, and protective organizations. 4-Investing the advantages of the contemporary globalization: (technological, mass media, and economic one). The Muslim family can overcome the different obstacles and get its stability that enables her to achieve its civilizing mission only by relying on the above mentioned measures. |
