Faithfulness

First: its definition.

Faithfulness is to seek the Almighty Allah's face in all your deeds. It means that whatever people do, they should do it not for the sake of gaining anything from the earthly life but rather to seek Allah's reward. Allah the great said: «you are the one we worship and the one from whom we implore help» The Opening, 4). He also said: «And they were not ordered but to worship Allah dedicating to him the exclusive religion» (The Clear Evidence, 5). He added: «Say my prayer, my devoutness acts, my life and my death belong to Allah, the lord of the universe» (The Cattle, 162).

Second: Its necessity:

Faithfulness is a means of success in life and the hereafter. Abu Hamid Elghazali wrote in his commemoration: "All the people are perished except the ulemas, all the ulemas are perished except the workers for the sake of Allah, and the latters are in the great news". So the sincere is always observing and obeying Allah, he is always cautious and careful. Faithfulness is necessary for life because it drives people back from falling into sins and vices.

Third: its credibility:

Faithfulness can not be achieved without the presence of the following conditions:

1-The importance of looking at the creator not at the creatures. The Almighty Allah said: «And say work, because Allah will see your deeds, and so his messenger and the pious, and you will be brought back to the one who knows the visible and the invisible, then he will inform you of your doing» (Repentance,  105).

2-The balance of the apparent and the hidden, and of what is openly with what is secret.

3-To thank and praise Allah for all His graces that He bestowed on us and to confess our inability to express our thanks.

4-The certainty of the fact that people do not go to heaven because of their deeds only, but because of the compassion of the Almighty Allah. The prophet may peace be upon him said: «No one would go to heaven due to his deeds». They said even you, the messenger of Allah? He said: «even me, except if Allah have mercy on me» (agreed on-abu Horayra)

Fourth: the importance of good intention in achieving faithfulness.

Intention is a work among the work of the heart, so the pious has to precise his intention. Omar Ibn Elkhatabe said: the prophet may peace be upon him said: «all the deeds depends on the intention, and each person receives what he's intended to…» Abdu Allah Ibn Moubarek also said:" better is the little work which is exalted by the good intention, and worse is the great work which deceived by a bad intention".

Faithfulness is not something easy, it is related to the intention and intention is changeable. For this reason, Sofian Ethaouri said: "I had never faced something difficult than my intention, it is always fluctuating", and Yahia-Ibn Kathir said: "learn good intention, it is greater than the work itself".

Fifth: Its reasons (the factors that reinforce faithfulness).

1- Knowledge: to preserve the importance of faithfulness and its necessity. For Abi Hamid Elghazali," faithfulness is knowledge, an attitude and a work".

2-Look at the sinceres' acts and deeds in order to learn from them and follow in their footsteps because good deeds never disappear with the death of their doers. Imam Chafii said:

I like the pious and I am not among them,

Perhaps I will gain from them a benediction.

And I hate whose trades are sins,

Even if we are together in the merchandise.

3-Fight the self and devil: Imam Elbouassiri said:

Contradict and disobey the self and devil,

If you want advice, this is a vain attempt.

Do not listen to them, judges they are or opponents,

You know the meanness of both judge and opponent.

4-The sinceres' companionship: This for the sake of imitating them

because they are precious metal and life never be vacant of them.

5-Invocation and asking God's help: among the memorable and the transmitted prayers (Invocations) the following one: "God do not make us ignore what we know of you, and forgive our ignorance". (Imam Ahmed).

Sixth: The fruits of faithfulness:

1-The peacefulness of the self and the quietness of the heart.

2- It gives the soul the power to continue in what is morally good and correct.

3-To get reward.

4-To get Allah's support and help.

5-To get the reword of ones deeds.

6- To achieve happiness in life and the ever lasting life.
